Notes

The single 1.8 GHz and dual 2.0 GHz models had four RAM slots for a maximum of 4 GB of RAM, and three 33 MHz, 64-bit PCI slots. The 1.8 GHz model had a 64 NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 Ultra card with a single-link DVI and ADC ports, an 8x SuperDrive, a standard 56 kbps modem, and weighed 38 lbs. The Dual 2.0 and 2.3 models had a 128 MB ATI Radeon 9600 card with two single-link DVI ports. The Dual 2.7 GHz model had a 256 ATI Radeon 9650 with 256MB DDR SDRAM, one single-link and one dual-link DVI port. RAM modules for all models must be installed in matched pairs.

Announced in April 2005, The PowerMac G5 (Early 2005) represented a speed-bump of the existing PowerMac G5 (June 2004) line. It was sold in four configurations: 1.8 GHz/256 MB/80 GB/$1,499; Dual 2.0 GHz/512 MB/160 GB/$1,999; Dual 2.3 GHz/512 MB/250 GB/$2,499; Dual 2.7 GHz/512 MB/250 GB/$2,999. The 1.8 GHz model was quietly dropped several months later.
