Announced in October 2005, the iMac (iSight) was the first Mac to include an integrated iSight camera. In addition to a slimmer, lighter case, the iMac (iSight) included a faster processor, faster bus and memory speed, and a faster graphics chip set. It also included a remote control and Apple's new Front Row software, which allowed the iMac (iSight) to act as a home media center. The iMac (iSight) also lowered the price of its two configurations: the 17" model, with a 1.9 GHz processor and a 160 GB hard drive, was $1299, and the 20" model, with a 2.1 GHz processor and a 250 GB hard drive, was $1699. All models were discontinued in January 2006, with the introduction of the Intel-based iMac (Early 2006).
